Holy moly, Writing on Games just hit 50000 subscribers! To celebrate, I've decided to release some more of the music from the show (for those who don't know, I make all the background music). It's a pay-what-you-want download, so basically free.
There are still a ton of tracks exclusive to patrons (with a new track for every episode) so if you want access to them, please consider supporting me at patreon.com/writingongames
! Even you considering it means the world.
I just want to sincerely thank each and every one of you who has clicked on a video, left a comment, subscribed, told a friend, chipped in to the Patreon, or just supported the show in any way. I cannot tell you how much it means to me. When I started the channel in 2015, it was a means for me to fill my time when I'd just lost my job due to a serious decline in my mental health.
If you'd told me then that less than two years later I'd be in the position I'm in now, I'd have laughed in your face. It's so incredible and humbling that people support me in any way, but the most valuable thing I've taken from this whole process is a real sense of purpose. It's something I've been lacking pretty much my entire life and it's driven me to some pretty dark places in my time.
However, I now have a reason to get out of bed in the morning. I have people who genuinely want to know what I have to say. This has been one of the most rewarding endeavours I have ever undertaken. It's been tough and there's still a long way to go in terms of what I can improve, but I'm more than happy to put in the work to get there. You give me that drive. For that, I cannot thank you enough. You're the best.
Here's to 50000 more subs!
